BOOK REVIEW - Seven Ways We Lie by Riley Redgate

I received a copy of Seven Ways We Lie on Netgalley from Amulet Books in exchange for an honest review!

Seven Ways We Lie will be released on March 8, 2016, and is 352 pages long.

As always, for my full thoughts, check out my YouTube video HERE.

DESCRIPTION (from Goodreads):
Paloma High School is ordinary by anyone’s standards. It’s got the same cliques, the same prejudices, the same suspect cafeteria food. And like every high school, every student has something to hide—whether it’s Kat, the thespian who conceals her trust issues onstage; or Valentine, the neurotic genius who’s planted the seed of a school scandal.

When that scandal bubbles over, and rumors of a teacher-student affair surface, everyone starts hunting for someone to blame. For the unlikely allies at the heart of it all, the collision of their seven ordinary-seeming lives results in extraordinary change.

REVIEW:

  • This book started off pretty interesting
  • The POV changes were done really well
  • I didn't understand why a few of the beginning POVs were there until further into the book
  • I felt like the first POV was interesting, but the next few were really slow, and maybe weren't needed
  • Juniper's first POV really sucked me back in fully
  • I really liked how diverse the characters were in this!
  • There was some amazing character building
  • I had quite a few flashbacks to high school while reading this
  • I was really drawn to the characters after a while, and became really invested in the story
  • Some parts of this book really surprised me
  • Matt and Olivia were definitely my favorite characters in this book
  • Overall I really enjoyed this book, and will definitely pick up a physical copy!
  • I rated Seven Ways We Lie 4/5 stars!
